Advanced Features
Delete Tracking:
One of AuditView’s major features is the Delete Tracking option. Using SQL database triggers, AuditView records up to twenty index fields, selected by the user just before a document is deleted, which allow the deleted documents to be identified when an audit report is run. AuditView has the ability to remove old entries from the audit database, and can export the removed entries into a text file for archival purposes. When the removed data is archived, the data collected by the Delete Tracking feature is also backed up.
Database Cleanup:
The Database Cleanup feature in AuditView will delete records older than the date specified by the user. If desired, the user can specify filenames for the backup of deleted records.
Data Security:
In order to use the advances features of AuditView, Delete Tracking and Database Cleanup, it is necessary to run SQL scripts on the database. In order to ensure that no data corruption will occur as a result of the actions taken by AuditView, each SQL script is first displayed on the screen. The user is given the option to execute the script or save it to a disk to be applied later by the DBA.

AuditView will run on Microsoft Windows XP, 2000, or 2003. Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 must be installed and auditing must be enabled within ApplicationXtender. It can connect to ApplicationXtender databases running on either Microsoft SQLServer or Oracle.
