SharePoint applications can aggregate contenct from both SharePoint and ApplicationXtender, while documents stored within ApplicationXtender, while documents stored within ApplicationXtender continue to take advantage of its underlying document management capabilities.
Complete Document Management
While SharePoint provides ubiquitous access for users throughout an organization, its architecture was built for collaboration, not for large-scale document management. ApplicationXtender SharePoint integration enables you to leverage ApplicationXtender’s strength in document management without sacrificing easy access from within SharePoint.

In addition to provide tools to view content within SharePoint, ApplicationXtender SharePoint Integration enables you to move content easily from SharePoint to ApplicationXtender repositories. By moving content to ApplicationXtender, organizations can take advantage of ApplicationXtender’s strength at managing very large volumes of documents.
To archive SharePoint content, ApplicationXtender can move content from SharePoint into ApplicationXtender either on demand or on a scheduled basis. This process can preserve all SharePoint metadata and continue to provide access within SharePoint.
